Here are our answers to some commonly asked questions about the Sporty platform and how to get started.

 

LOGIN TIPS

Q: How do I login in as an administrator on my Sporty website?

View our support article  To log in, go to your organisation's page on the Sporty platform, go to the bottom of your page and click Admin Login. A:here

 

Q: How do I create a new admin for my Sporty site? Is there a limit?

You can add a new admin via the Admin Settings area. There is no limit to how many admins you can create. View our support article A: here.

Q: I am unable to add anymore content widgets. What do I need to do?

If you are using a free Sporty site, there is a limit on the number of sections and widgets you can add per page. In the menu bar, there are over 100 pages that you can unhide and use instead to add additional sections. Alternatively, you can contact our team at sales@sporty.co.nz to upgrade your free site to a paid subscription and gain more functionality on your site. Q: What is the maximum storage limit for saving documents, media, and images on my site?

A: All documents, media and images are saved in the cloud with no limit to storage. There is however a maximum file size you can upload for any individual image of 20MB. 

 


 

eNEWSLETTER TIPS

Q: How do I create an eNewsletter?

To create an eNewsletter, login to Sporty and go to your Dashboard. Click the News & eNewsletter tile, then click the Create eNewsletter button. Check out our A:online support article for more info.

NOTE: Please make sure you are using the new template moving forward. The old template builder will be discontinued very soon.

 

Q: What email address is the "from" address for eNewsletters?

A: By default, it will display the email of the administrator who logged in. You can change this to be any email address you like e.g. a generic club email rather than yours

 


 

ONLINE FORMS TIPS

NOTE: Creating a form = creating a database. Whenever a form is completed that information is stored as a database automatically. We encourage you to test any new forms created first once complete before sending out to everyone. 

 

Q: How many forms can I have on my free website?

A: There are two free forms with no limit to the number of registrations on the free platform. Any official forms displayed are not included in this. You can easily upgrade to 50 forms from only $180 per year. Please contact our team at sales@sporty.co.nz to discuss what options are available for you. 

 

Q: Can you change the information on an existing form?

A: Yes, you can amend an existing form however be careful not to change the purpose of any questions if people have already registered.

NOTE: We recommend instead of editing an existing form, if you have additional forms available, to use those.

 

Q: Why are the dates next to player registration information different colours?

A: The different coloured dates displayed next to a person's individual registration information are a visual identification to whether the person has registered with you before or not. Orange text means the person is registering with you for the first time. The black text means the person has registered with you before. If the person has renewed with you for the new season, their record in the previous season will be highlighted with a green background. 

 

Q: How do I re-register a player for the new season?

If your organisation uses Sporty forms, there is an easy way to send a group email that gives each person their own unique 'magic link' to re-register for the new season, or the next term's holiday program. This magic link will automatically open your new season’s form with their details from the previous season already pre-filled, so they can avoid re-entering their details and there is no need for them to login. A: Find out more 

 

Q: Can I import my own database?

 Any databases connected to an official form supplied by a governing body will automatically appear for you in Sporty. If you wish to import your own separate database, please contact A:support@sportsground.com. Note that a fee may apply for this service.
