Sporty has announced a new partnership that reduces transaction fees for online payments all the way down to 1% + GST or less.

Sporty has partnered with Stripe and POLi as well as Debitsuccess to bring more payment processing options for NZ sports clubs and associations. We’re especially excited about the exclusive partnership between Sporty and POLi.

Most Kiwis have paid online with POLi at some time in the past - perhaps when booking a flight with Air New Zealand or paying for your motor vehicle registration with NZTA.

POLi fees are only 1% + GST.  Not only that, but the total fee is capped at $1 + GST per transaction for not-for-profit organisations.

This tiny rate is huge news. It will save thousands of dollars per year. Also, POLi payments are processed immediately from the payer’s bank account into your bank account at the same speed as internet banking. So you can receive funds the same day instead of the next day or sometime the following week.

Stripe fees are 2.9% + $0.30c per transaction for credit cards & debit cards. Sporty will continue to support Debitsuccess as well, so don’t panic if you already have this enabled. It’s not going anywhere and it’s your choice.

Whichever online payment processing options you like, you still get the whole integrated workflow from Sporty. So the balance due, amount paid, and balance owing are easy for you to see for every transaction. If you use Xero, then Sporty can raise a draft invoice for you, or even a paid invoice if payment has been made. 

And don’t forget that you can set a ‘no pay, no play’ setting on your Sporty web forms to make online payment mandatory of you wish.
