Do you want to promote and showcase your sport more? It’s no secret that community sport is not being reported upon by mainstream media as much as we'd like. Most sports associations and clubs struggle to get their news out much further than Facebook or their own website.

Since Sporty is the largest provider of websites to Kiwi sport, we've built a platform to help give Kiwi sport a greater voice - www.sportynews.co.nz. There are some great stories that are worth celebrating.

SportyNews aggregates content being published to public websites and showcases it in a way that is easy to search, syndicate and share. Each news article, notice and photo is attributed and linked back to the source to help drive visitor traffic back to the originator. People can filter their own view of SportyNews by sports code, NZ region, or right down to individual organisations if they wish. It remembers their preferences when they later return to SportyNews. The service is free.

Please use SportyNews to promote your news. If your website is using the Sporty platform, this is handled for you automatically. If your website is from another provider, you can either submit it via Sporty or simply email it to newsdesk@sportynews.co.nz.

We also invite everyone who is interested in contributing news articles on community sport to become an official sports reporter for SportyNews.co.nz. They don't need to be an accomplished author.
